A Jewish man in Paris found out that Germany had kicked out Polish Jews, including his own family. In response, he shot and killed the German ambassador. Hitler saw this as a planned attack by Jews, so he ordered a massive attack on Jewish people in Germany. People looted Jewish shops, destroyed Jewish graves, and damaged synagogues. The fire department and police did nothing to stop the violence, so it was a complete massacre.
Kristallnacht (also known as the Night of Broken Glass) was a series of violent attacks against Jewish people and their property that took place on September 6-7, 1938. It was a night of destruction and terror, with Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues being vandalized and destroyed.
